This typography portrait addresses the goal of creating a strong type-based image of acclaimed mystery author Agatha Christie. The layout is functional and logical, with shaping and a carefully-chosen typeface to embody the words.
In order to best represent Agatha Christie, I wanted to convert an existing photograph of her to a portrait using words that describe her novels. One strategy I used was tracing her image and filling in the gaps with words and phrases. The portrait applies negative space, hierarchy, and spacing.
